The Middle East is a region where automobile is king and fuel is inexpensive, often leaving little incentive to find more environmentally-friendly methods of moving around.

But this year, as protests across the Middle East have actually risen the rate of oil, the issue of finding alternative sources of fuel has actually entered into sharp focus.

In an area that has among the highest carbon footprints on the planet, one business is benefiting from the growing pressure to options to oil. It's established the Middle East's first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving successful too, currently their client-list includes McDonald's.
